
Luca Katzen, Co-founder & Co-CEO
Luca Katzen is a fourth-year Environmental Engineering student at Cornell University with a minor in Design and Environmental Analysis. She is passionate about tackling climate change through technology and design, combining technical expertise with operational leadership. She has previously led multidisciplinary teams to bring ideas to market, including launching and scaling Spiel App as Head of Operations (Tsai CITY Accelerator Awardee at Yale University). Through her work with Engineers Without Borders and Brooklyn SolarWorks, Luca has turned complex environmental challenges into actionable, real-world solutions

Matthew Lipton, Co-founder & Co-CEO
Matthew Lipton is a fourth-year Cornell Energy Systems engineering student with expertise in renewable energy, economic analysis, and climate resilience. Outside of the classroom Matthew developed strong skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and project design through work in clean energy finance at Clearway Energy Group. He has also developed expertise in decarbonization strategy, and applied environmental engineering by working at TRC Companies. Matthew brings a combination of analytical rigor, problem-solving, and leadership to acClimate, where he is focused on turning complex climate data into clear, actionable guidance for homeowners.

Daniel Baldeo-Thorne, Lead Backend Developer
Daniel Baldeo-Thorne is a backend developer with a strong interest in geospatial data systems, passionate about building tools that make maps more interactive, insightful, and accessible. His previous projects have involved managing PostGIS in Supabase and Redis, and bringing spatial data to life through dynamic web applications built with Mapbox, Deck.gl, and Leaflet. Daniel also has hands-on experience using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS for spatial analysis and visualization. Beyond software, Daniel loves exploring the intersection between hardware, software, and agriculture by finding innovative ways to connect technology with real-world systems. He is especially drawn to geospatial projects that blend technology, environment, and data, uncovering creative ways to tell stories through location and design.

Sabrina Chan, Lead Frontend Developer
Sabrina Chan is a Computer Science graduate from Cal Poly Pomona specializing in modern web and mobile frontend development. She builds intuitive user interfaces using React and React Native, and has experience developing web apps with Next.js, as well as integrating authentication, backend services, and headless e-commerce. Sabrina is passionate about creating clean, scalable user experiences and bringing thoughtful applications to life that feel intuitive and enjoyable for users.
Luca and Matthew met during their freshman year at Cornell University and have been study buddies ever since. In the Fall of 2025, they started acClimate after discovering the lack of technology that advocated for homeowners to take control over their climate futures.
